I really love that MITS program was a self-paced, I was able to advance with the training at my own pace and taught by people with knowledge and experience, it has equipped me to prepare myself for medical interpreting just like if I were in medical school. I would highly recommend this training program to anyone who wants to become a professional medical interpreter just like my friend did recommend MITS to me, I have no regret, I love the practice exercises, the course was very well organized and very clear. It gave me the skills to succeed.

This course is an outstanding resource for any interpreter looking to complete their 40 hours at their own pace. It is well paced and thorough, and it offers a perfect blend of interactive activities and glossaries that we can apply in our daily work. The videos are packed with knowledge and they make complex concepts easier to grasp. I also enjoyed the funny cartoons at the end of each module.

This was my first online training and my first time learning medical interpretation. Thanks to MITS for the well-packaged 40-hour course. I am truly grateful to David for the almost immediate response when I reached out. I enjoyed learning medical terminologies, vocabulary, and also the informative videos. I really enjoyed taking this course at MITS. It helped me better understand the role of a medical interpreter and the skills required to perform it effectively. As I progressed, I found myself becoming more interested in this career path and realized there is a great opportunity to keep learning not only about medical terminology, but also about people’s experiences and how to support them through communication.

I had not worked in the interpreting/translating profession in almost 25 years. When the opportunity came up to resume, I took it. The 60-Hour Self-Paced Course at MITS clearly showed me how much the profession has evolved and grown in that time. The glossaries for slang helped as I know the meaning but struggled finding the English interpretation. I recently completed the 40-hour Medical Interpretation course for Spanish, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. I would really recommend MITS to anyone who wants to learn everything needed to pass the Medical Interpreting exam. Not only does it contain a significant amount of medical terminology, but also the structure of the course allows you to get lots of practice interpreting real-life scenarios between doctors and patients.

So I’d like to start by saying that MITS really builds you from the ground up, as in I walked in with ZERO experience and knowledge of the medical field. Throughout the class I had doubts if I was actually cut out for this line of work, but because of the intelligent design and attention to detail of the material provided, I found myself really catching on quickly, and I felt as if I had an instructor right in front of me. The cheerful and informative attitude of the instructor made it fun to be in class as well as captivating. I will definitely recommend MITS to anyone looking to gain or improve their skills. MITS really is the BEST OF THE BEST.

My experience with MITS has been great. I found the courses challenging enough to improve my interpreting skills by a lot. The instructions for the assignments and quizzes are set up with clear instructions. I learned way more about interpreting and my skills during this course than any other course/class that I have taken before.

I enjoyed the course very much as it helped me assess my own strengths and weaknesses and gave me the tools to better the latter. I appreciated that it was language specific and gave me pointers on how to navigate both languages and avoid using false cognates, for example. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a Spanish/English program if you are unsure of where or how to begin.

My favorite parts of the course were the attention to detail on language itself. I have a Bachelor’s degree in education and I minored in language. The teaching here was of very high quality. The instructor is so experienced and easy to follow. I highly recommend this course.

Great program! Not overcomplicated. Learned things I didn’t expect went into interpreting. It’s not as simple as just saying what you hear. I'm glad I now know about things like cognates, colloquialisms, and other aspects of language and communication. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get into interpreting.

My experience with MITS has been 10/10. From the learning videos I was shown, I was able to really get a deeper understanding of what I was learning and what I had to interpret. The repetitive interpreting at first was tiring, but after the second interpretation, I understood that that actually helped me a lot to feel more confident in how I was interpreting. It also made me memorize words a lot more easily as well.

Well, this has been an incredibly enriching and thorough education on interpreter ethics, medical Spanish, and the processes of the human body. I never imagined it would take me over 4 months to complete this 60-hour course, but when the content is incredibly dense, upon finishing I definitely feel a large sense of accomplishment and satisfaction after studying so much medical knowledge. I feel like this course was very well organized and propelling.

Medical interpreting training was great overall. It was well structured, very informative and practical. My experience doing my courses with MITS was great. I thought I knew most of the stuff, but when I started, I was like, wow, so much information and learning how to translate the correct way, because I thought I was translating well before, but now that I took this course, I could fix what I was doing wrong and started doing it the correct way. I would recommend MITS to anyone who wants to improve their translation or to get ready for their test because it has so much information and it’s well explained.

I had a great time, I'm so amazed with the work of the interpreter, as an outsider I could see just like someone that knows more than one language and is able to translate, but there is so much more into it, I learned so much, it is actually complex, you have all the ethics and standards, protocol, and at the same time it can be very mind-consuming, of course with time it gets better, but it is not an easy job to translate and keep accuracy and at the same time deal with adversity and try to give the best you can, great experience!
