The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has established a pathway for certain interpreters who already possess qualifying credentials and 40 hours of training to complete 20 additional hours of approved healthcare interpreter education and satisfy Oregon’s 60-hour training requirement.

The MITS 20-Hour Oregon Healthcare Interpreter Bridge Program provides the approved training required for eligible interpreters to meet this requirement and pursue Oregon healthcare interpreter credentialing.
